Default anyone tune a 13 gt yet?

My friend and i both have 13 GTs and are looking for recommendations for tunes. He had his 11 GT tuned and it was a noticeable difference. The same cannot be said for our 13 w/ a tune. There were minimal gains if any, we might have even been trying to convince ourselves that we could tell. No difference at the track either. I know that there is a difference b/w the 13 factory tune and 11s and 12s, maybe not as much left on the table? Gonna have one of them dyno tuned locally this Saturday. Just wanted to see what others experience with the 13 tune has been.

I am curious myself. I know on paper Ford claims these 13 5.0's are putting out 420 HP, but while I was in Michigan arguing with Chrysler about a 2012 Challenger that I bought which started rusting out at 600 miles I ran into a Ford Rep at a local eatery (his 13 had Mfg Plates) we got to talking and he was saying the new 5.0's are actually putting out 435 hp. At the time I had this Challenger I also had a 2012 5.0 which was supposed to be 412HP but he said were closer to 425-430

I realize this is all heresay, but based on some stock dyno threads and figuring in drive train loss it seems the rep is close on these numbers. some 2012s were seeing between 356-390 RWHP which either meant at a a min a 5% drive train loss (which is impossible considering the set up) by factor in 10% at a min and you would be close to that 425 number for the 2011/2012.

just got back from the dyno. Comparing the factory tune of my 13 to the factory tune of the 11-12 a few differences were observed with the fuel tables and timing, so they are different. This is on a bone stock car with only a cat-back. B/c of the differences in the 13 tune the jump in hp and tq are not as great as with the 11-12. In the end you wind up at the same place. It did smooth the tq and hp curves though and the car runs more smooth now. I think that im prob gonna save that money and spend it on a supercharger and long tubes rather than a CAI and cat deletes. This has all been discussed over and over i know.
At the track the gains were inconclusive b/c of wheel spin, it just spun a little more. lol

Not sure where in LA you are, but if you can, go to Triangle Speed Shop in Orange, TX. They are some of the best Mustang tuners around.

I have been wondering the same thing, if a tune was worth the money. Seems like it might not be for the '13s.

That's what I have been thinking all along. Huge difference in my '11 GT, stock vs Bama 93 performance tune. I have not done any dyno pulls since I installed the tune, however. Butt dyno shows a significant difference.

We've definitely seen some awesome gains and results from the 13 GT's. With a CAI and Bama tune combo on a 13' GT, we've seen gains of about 25+RWHP and 25+RWTQ! That's a number that you'll definitely feel, there wont need to be any convincing there.

Give my Bama team a call if you have any questions and they'll gladly get you squared away! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!
