In the Ford Racing video, They say the Cobra jet had a problem with not being able to retain an accurate reading of engine speed above 7250rpm's. The solution was to raise the gap between two certain teeth by 50/1000th's of an inch. This allowed accurate engine speed reading up to 8000rpms.

Doesn't sound like a worthwhile investment in the least bit for a street car. Spend your money elsewhere unless you are professionally racing the car.
