Alot of my friends have the holster placement in their cars. I put mine in the center console or glove compartment generally. If I feel like Im may need it, I put it on the seat next to me or between my legs until I feel its safe to put away again.

Has anyone tried putting a holster in between the seat and center console?

if you think about it, the passenger side of the center console would not be a bad spot for it. putting the firearm between the seat and the console would kinda hinder adjusting the seat itself.

I was toying with the idea of mounting one in the ceiling area just aft of the overhead lights. With black interior and at night, no one would be able to see that it's there.

I've been thinking about the driver's side center - like to the left of the radio controls, about where your knee would rest for my '06. My Bianchi holster has velcro on the side already, might be handy.

Tennessee also has CC. In fact, most states in the SE allow it, although there are variances from state to state. Some it has to be concealed, others you can openly carry. You can openly carry in TN if you want.

I would have to experiment with multiple places, but probably would end up putting it in the glove box in a holster with the glove box locked.

Unless your state allows open carry, it needs to be concealed and in Florida that means in something that closes. Be it the glove box or under the seat in a gun case, holster with a snap. Florida law requires the gun be securely encased and here is their definition.

17) "Securely encased" means in a glove compartment, whether or not locked; snapped in a holster; in a gun case, whether or not locked; in a zippered gun case; or in a closed box or container which requires a lid or cover to be opened for access.

I don't think laying on the passenger seat with a shirt over it would fly in Florida.

I just need a safe place to store mine when it's not concealed on my person.

I like this guys idea of putting a safe in the center console.

I like that in the console, looks like a good solution for when you need to stash it.
