Default I want the rev limiter from the end of this video

how do i get this? Is that a shelby 5.4? the 2011 gt seems to kill power for a full second instead of bouncing like this..

lol. I remember the days when I didn't know how to shift a manual properly. That's basically all it takes. And a loud exhaust. Maybe an aftermarket tune helps because that's kinda what my car sounds like when I miss a shift; just bounces off the limiter.

so for yours it doesnt shut down power for like what seems to be a full second? The rev limiter is silent in the 2011 and just seems to totally kill the power.

Anyone with a 2011+ have a tune and notice a difference in the limiter?

Most places you buy a tuner that come with a custom tune will increase the rev limiter. In my 13 I hit the Limiter once by mistake and it does kill your car. Ever since I have had a tuner I havent had that problem but I also havent reved the crap out of it. I am sure you can also change the rev limiter your self with a tuner.

Oh god. Please, step away from the 5.0. You would be better suited driving a Honda.

You do realize the sound the Shelby is producing in that video is the result of terrible driving, correct?

An aftermarket tune will up your rev limiter, but I'm afraid to tell you to get one...because you'll be purposely bouncing it off the limiter to hear that "cool" sound.

You need a driver mod above anything else.

You are dumb as *** its a totally different rev limiter than a 5.0 and it acts alot different. Its not just about the sound. Ive had both kinds i dont like how the 2011's works. Hitting the rev limiter on a 2011 5.0 stops the engine for like a full second, with that type of limiter in the vid you dont lose all power for a second - you can keep the tires spinning if you want.

The point is, if you do hit the rev limiter on the 5.0, it cuts power for too long and the wheels stop spinning- other types of limiters dont cause this or kill the power for nearly as long.

heres another nice limiter as opposed to the 5.0's mean limiter

the best kind of burnout is bouncing off the limiter, no brakes and being able to stay full throttle the whole time.

I dont want to raise the rpm that the limiter kicks in since i dont have a boss intake and it would be pointless. And no i dont need a driver mod, i know exactly what im doing.

in the video he is boucing the rev limiter but u can hear and see that he is on a dead spot until he put in another gear..so im pretty sure hes losing all power also, my 2006 gt die for half a sec when I hit the rev limiter, it suck but guess there is a reason, the only real rev limiter ive seen was on a mach 1 2003 or 2004 cant remember, but no idea how did it act on the street.

Everything i said that you bolded is correct. You also ignored the most important parts of my post that explained what i mean. There is no point on a GT raising the rev limiter without a boss intake, do your research.

IF you dont like the vids or that type of limiter more than the 5.0's limiter.... castrate yourself, get a prius, and gtfo of my thread.
