Default advice on where to start on performance parts?

So I just recently bought a 2012 mustang gt and I am looking to add some juice but don't know where to start. I ant to worried about making the top end faster would rather have better 0-60 and better 1/4 mile times I just don't know where to start any advice? Thanks

Tune, CAI, full exhaust will improve everyday performance.

Drag radials for the drag strip will make a nice improvement there.

Most start with a CAI and tune...or if money allows, supercharger.

You won't be disappointed with a CAI and a tune, best bang for the buck on a stock car.

CAI & good custom tune combo yields about 40 RWHP gain on the 5.0. Cams and LT combo also yield good gains. After that, it's small power gains with other mods. Unless, of course, you have deep pockets for a blower and if that's your direction, forget the stuff I mentioned and go FI.

0-60 times? 10"+ wide wheels in the back with summer tires.

Intake and tune will yield more power for sure.

If your interested in 0-60, I'd say go for gears first, might as well get the tune since you'll need the tuner to adjust your gear ratio.

My 0-60 is 2.8 seconds with the factory 3.55s.

My advice is to never buy a mod that doesn't fit your final goal for the car. Planning on supercharging? Skip the CAI. Not planning on forced induction? CAI (with tune) is an EXCELLENT first mod. What part of Louisiana are you from? New Orleans here.
