Actually further research shows you're right I was wrong. misread the options book from my 2012. The Brochure made it look like 3.31 and 3.55 were optional in the Automatic, it is not.

My apologies.

No prob Gary. Anyone who admits a mistake gets big points with me, and I have foot in mouth disease as bad as anyone. It can be confusing. Hell, Edmunds.com leads you to believe you can order an Auto with the higher gear ratios too.

I think my 2012 GT Auto came with 3.15s. Would dealer install 3.55s or 3.73s? Read some folks with issues when installing new gears. FWIW, the 3.15s in the Auto are not bad...

My automatics had 3.15's, my 6 mt has 3.73's. I haven't read folks having issues with gear changes, but doesn't mean it won't happen. However, the Automatics and my 6mt still uses the dual piece DS. Although it is not as weak as the V6 dual piece DS, I would recommend that if you change your RAR to 3.55 or higher and by pass the speed limited you may want to change the DS.

I however have had my 13 6mt to the speed limiter, and felt no vibration or issues so I guess the best advice is YMMV.
