The new one can fail just as easily as a refurb.
The problem with remanufactured is it might still use the same cheap diodes that are failing on the stock one.

OP--just got off the phone with PA Performance and am very impressed. Spent over 15 mins on the phone with me discussing my needs and concerns--was very knowledeable and helpful. I will be ordering the 130amp from them as he and I agree I have no need for the 200 and the 130 actually puts out about 30-40 more amps at idle than the oem.

Tis possible but you won't know without asking the seller.

I agree some remanufactured parts are just as crappy as the OEM stuff, but every once in a awhile you get a diamond int he rough, but it is up to you to do the research to find that diamond.
