I used silicon in an aerosol can to coat the bushings on my rear LCAs. Worth a shot before you go buying new control arms for the whole car. That or WD40, but be warned WD40 has a tendency to dry out a bushing (so it's more of a short term solution).

Does the creak happen when accelerating? How about turning?

FYI......I replaced the strut mounts to GT500 ones and it did nothing to cure the noise clunk. GT500 LCA was the answer. I found them on ebay for way cheaper than the normal stang mail order houses. I paid $250 or so.....cant remember exactly. Well spent cash.

How many miles on the vehicle?
Funny how a loud exhaust or deafening volume of the stereo really clears that up. Stereo volume is cheapest fix.

Hey Nuke,

Where do you go to read up on all the TSB's? Are any of those still covered by dealers or will they know if your car has been serviced for the TSB?

i took off my stock mufflers just to see what the car would sound like...pretty freakn loud. anywho, i took the left muffler off and i was turning it over in my hands looking at it and there is something inside of the muffler. there is something inside rolling around as you twist the muffler around. so i am thinking that the creaking/thumping sound from my read area is partly from the thing in the left side muffler rolling around. and artly suspension...any thoughts??

Mine makes a terrible creaking sound in the rear when i let the clutch out and put a little pressure on the rear suspension. Sounds like a creaky floor or some old lady's rocking chair. Friggin embarrassing at stop lights. Car has 3000 miles on it and I've replaced the springs with Eibachs and the rear LCA's with J&L, and a BMR panhard bar. Last week I put the car on a lift and swung my weight on the sway bar like a monkey but couldnt get it to creak. Sprayed royal purple penetrating lube all over the place. Still creaks. I give up, I'll just keep the stereo louder until the whole rear end falls apart.

Here you go... https://mustangforums.com/mustang-tsb/

If you're out of warranty, you'll be hard-pressed to get a dealer to do a repair under a TSB at no charge.

after looking through all of those tsb's nuke, i have come across something pertaining to my problem. i am pleased to know that i am not the only one with this problem. From what the tsb says, its more than likely my lower control arm bushings. They are telling me to replace the lower control arms. heres a question, why not just replace those 4 (i think its 4) lower control arm bushings??
