Default Trunk-mounted bike carrier

I know this has been previously discussed, but I have a very specific question.

I've read the other threads on this, and I know it often turns into a flame war on whether a bike carrier should ever be or not be put on a Mustang. Please don't comment on whether I SHOULD put on a bike carrier -- that's already been discussed.

Also, for various reasons, I have decided not to install a hitch. I did on my previous car, and I'm familiar with the pros and cons of that.

So my specific question is this: does anyone know of a trunk-mounted carrier where the lower support rests against the license plate rather than against the bumper?
I'm trying to minimize wear on the bumper cover, and I've seen this on other cars... but because our license plates are lower on the 'Stangs, I don't know if there's one that will do this for us.

Thanks
