Default Project idea for summer 2013, questions

Im looking to get a steal on a '11/12' 5.0 and maybe get a blower on top of that sucker if everything go well and if i can sell my mustang for a good price, meanwhile im trying to figure out what ill really do, my friend just gave me a call saying they are rebuilding a 2007 shelby dark grey, he say ill be able to get My hand on it (if interrested) for roughly 20k, which sound good even if this car is a vga-title fixed, at this price i could get a vmp kit around 3300$ for tvs blower pulley tuner cai and get close to 620-650 whp, for barely 25k, only big problem i see in going this route is: car aint hard top, this mean more weight, and im not a fan for my own personnal reason of the open roof, my question is: how much can this affect performance running big hp on a no-roof shelby? Im pretty sure my first idea of running a 2011-12 5.0 with F/I would cost nearly 35k, what you guys think?

after all of the problems you've had with your car, you'd really want a rebuilt, blemished title car??

This. Start fresh on the new GT. That way you'll KNOW what is done and who it's done by. Usually when things sound too good to be true, they are.

That one point i should take in consideration. Best of the two world would be to get a hand on 2010 shelby...but prolly around 40k, too much for a 6 month use/per year. I might just go with a 2011/2012 and mods it slowly, the shelby hp number still sounded interresting for the low price, i really like the powerful feeling i can get while being F/I and tearing a patch of rubber on the street while full throttle
