Valve leaking on axle?
My 2012 has 15K miles on it. While adjusting my exhaust the other day I noticed the vent valve?? located on the driver side seems to be leaking a lot fluid. Is that normal? The whole driver axle tube is covered and I did notice a small dime sized spot on the ground. So, I assume the wind just makes the illusion that it's more than it looks, but what's too much? I have not checked, but I plan to this weekend. Just wanted to make a quick post.
Since purchased in April:
Both control arms replaced (warranty)
short in GEM module; car would not cut off unless stalled out (warranty)
Now - controls arms thumping again and I have another electrical issue. A/C kicks on and fan speed goes from low to high over and over on the LCD screen while blowing in the same speed lol. I suppose another trip to FORD for them to tell me that cannot replicate the problem.
This damn car has giving me too many issues.
Done ranting...anyone else expierence issues with rear end or fan speed?
See image... It will periodically display this while acting up.

The vent cap will leak and there is a TSB on it. My car is in the ship right now for them to go through the steps on the cap - and probably will end up putting the 'turkey baster' on it which is the final step (turkey baster like bulb that screws in to the hole for the cap - fluid goes up into the bulb and drains back later). I had it on my 2006 because I would get the blow by on that after a weekend at the track.

Keep it under 90MPH and you shouldn't have any further leakage. I know a lot of people with 11+ were replacing the rear end cover with the boss rear end cover (the one with cooling fins) which has the vent on the top of the cover, putting the "turkey baster" on that and plugging the vent on the left axle (7/16x20 thread I believe).
