Default Anyone swapped out their steering wheel?

Ebay has 2013 mustang steering wheels that will fit on my 07; aside that the buttons will not work. Has anyone upgraded their steering wheel? My stock steering wheel seems cheap and is eroding at the top; I'd like better quality. Im sure that the cruise control wires will just swap over to the new steering wheel right? Anyone with feedback let me know!
Thanks

All you *should* have to do is swap the buttons (and their associated wiring). I just put a 2009 GT500 leather wheel on my 2012. I see no reason you shouldn't be able to go the other way.

I have a base v6, and didn't have (and didn't want) the stereo control buttons, so the swap was easy for me (no re-programming to activate the extra buttons).

The buttons will work if you get an adapter for the clockspring harness in the new wheel.

Many people have put 2011+ wheels on their 05+ and they work fine. Some aftermarket head units support the use of the radio buttons too!

Joe, let me know if you sell it, I'd be willing to take it off your hands. Thanks

I swapped out the wheel years ago on my '06 GT. If you are going to do this, before hand, go to the dealer and buy a new center bolt , the one that holds the wheel on. It is a "One Time Use" bolt. Ford likes using these. Don't forget to remove the ground battery cable. I'd wait an hour or so after doing this. Ford also recommends pulling the fuse for the steering wheel air bag. YOU DON'T WANT THAT THING GOING OFF.
