Default Long Tube Headers access to Transmission

So I finally going to start adding some upgrades to my mustang GT, I'm thinking of starting with the long tubes headres. But have a concern if I have to drop the stock transmission for maintenance later on will I have enough clearance or do I have to remove the LT every time. (remove them from the egine part)

My current transsmision TR3650 has a leak on the shifter piston, and probably will just get a tremec 56 magnum for the upgrade, cant do them both at once so I will start with the cheapest (LT headers). Again I dont want to go through a mission if I have to remove the headers again. (Im doing all the work myself) . Im hoping I can work on the transmission witout having to remove the LT headers from the engine.

Thanks

We didn't have to remove the trans to install my Kooks LTs.

Im more concert to remove the trans, since the long tubes will take some of the space permanently

sorry about the typo. I mean I am more concern about removing the trans after the LT tubes have been installed.

I'm not 100% sure

But I think you cant get the trans out with any of the mid-length setups, MAC, pypes, and kooks.

You CAN with the full length LT's, ARH, JBA, BBK.

I have dropped my trans twice with the long tubes still installed.

Letting him know what brand might be a good idea

Thanks, I thought there were shorties and long tubes, I didnt know they some called mid lenghts. I assumed the go further than long tubes.

I was aiming for kooks Long tubes, are those OK or they are mid lengths?

thanks

I have no first hand experience. But, I have been researching LT's lately. Consensus seems to be that ARH may be best for ease of installation and for clearance when it comes to the steering components and the transmission.

The kooks are a mid-length header.

ARH are top quality headers. The fit is perfect, welds are awesome, and you really get what you pay for. All the tuners around me said they also get the most gains for the 3v.
