I second this...I bought a Used 2006 back in 2009. Was never disappointed when the 5.0 came out. The 4.6 has plenty of power and can be modded to compete with 5.0s easily. The V6s will disappoint....nothing like a V8 rumble.

If you get a certified used car, the warranty is better than on a new car.

I bought mine new, only because I got such a great deal. You can find good used mustangs. The '05-10's are really good cars. Take someone with you who knows what to look for. I agree with the others here about buying a GT. The gas mileage is not all that different. Insurance is pretty cheap too.

Another option is to get a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) mustang from a Ford dealer. The car goes through a pretty stringent inspection, and cars that qualify are given an extended warranty I think up to 100k miles. It's really a good way to buy a used car.

If you find a car you like (at a Ford dealer) that's not a CPO, ask the dealer if they will certify it. It will cost you extra (like a couple grand), but it would be worth the peace of mind. Also, if the car won't qualify as a CPO, you might not want it anyway.
CPO's have age (no m0ore than 5 years old) and mileage limitations, but that's about it. I read about a guy that bought a CPO Shelby, and found out after buying it that it had been in a major accident.

I'm also thinking on buy a 3V GT. I've read some things of what I have to verify before buying one, but is there anywhere in the forums where users actually write and let know their actual experiences in order to see the car reliability? Thanks for your help and sorry, I'm new here!

Well I own both a 2013 GT and at 2013 V6 and at the end of the day there is one huge difference.

The miles per gallon in the V6 sit around 20 the GT sits at about 15.

Get up and go power for the V6 is not bad at all moves out really well and keeps up with the GT quite well. Least on the lower power band soon as the GT hits around 2k to 3k rpm's it pulls away from the V6 right quick.

The V6 does not sound anywhere close to the GT so if your looking for that real muscle car sound the V6 does not have it.

Suspension and handling the GT all the way there is a big difference in how they feel on the open road. The V6 is more how do I put it carlike handles bumps and ruts in the road well softer smooth ride. The GT not so much harder stiffer ride suspensions made so you can feel the road and be one with it but you trade some comfort for the control. The GT's have bigger tires mine came with 19s so it gets a lot of grip but really likes to follow ruts in the road. Lowering the car helped negate some of that though.
