Default Staggered Wheels and Suspension

I'm about to pull the trigger on some 19 inch staggered wheels. i'm upgrading from 17 inch stock wheels.

since i'm upgrade the wheels, particularly to staggered, do i NEED to upgrade the suspension as well? i've been reading around and it is making me fearful that i should. i was looking at putting 1 inch, or 1.5 inch spacers on the wheels as well, but i think i might opt out on that.

the whole suspension system is completely foreign to me and i've been reading through suspension sticky's on here and it is tough to follow. basically i think i'd need the Eibach Pro-System Plus, and an adjustable panhard bar. Does this sound about right? oh and those camber plates or whatever too.

the long and the short of this post is, do i NEED to buy a suspension system to go with my new staggered wheels (upgrading form 17 inch to 19 inch)? thanks in advance!

In a word...no.
Big question I have is why 19"? Your selection will be limited, and your tire cost will increase. If it is a particular wheel pattern you like I understand, but that would be the only reason I would go 19 over 18".

Nope. Some people use wheel spacers to clear large brakes, but if you don't have those you shouldn't need to worry about suspension upgrades.

You may find your car sitting a little higher off the ground. I would stick with 18's if you can. And there is no reason you need to do anything to the suspension...

It's not a waste of money. Your just limited in tire choices so the cost is more with 19's than 18's. Why not get the AMR in 18 staggered they have 18x8 and 18x10. Put some 255 up front and 285 out back....would look awesome.

Thanks for the responses all. Yeah i was looking at 19s just because they were bigger. There is an 18 inch option. Cost is definitely up about 300 bucks. I'll search around a bit to make sure. Maybe I'll do 18s and leave money for something else.

Those 19's are gonna be more weight too. A 255/45/18 and 285/40/18 look real meaty on a mustang. It's a great stance and those wheels are hot. What color are you going with?
