2012 Mustang V6 Convertible Making Rattling Noise 1100-1400RPM
I am getting a rattling sound that sounds like it is coming from the front passenger side of the vehicle, almost like a rock inside of a tin can or something. It generally occurs between 1100 and 1400 RPM, between 30 and 45 mph.
I took it to my local Ford dealer and they blamed it on a loose spare tire in the trunk and told me that the sound could transfer and sound like it was coming from somewhere else. I'd never heard the spare tire before, but now that they messed with the factory mount and tried to move it (jack was missing when I bought the car, and they told me the missing jack was allowing it to move around, causing the noise), and now I can hear it moving around on rough roads, but it is a different sound (coming from the trunk) than what I'm hearing on the front passenger side of the vehicle.
It has been going on for about three months now. Any ideas?
