The 2017 model will be available Feb. 13, 2014. Ford has had such good fortune from rolling out their model year 6 months earlier than everyone else that they're going to begin rolling out TWO model years in any ONE year...

Wait for the '15 for sure! Ford has been on a hot streak with car designs lately and I think they will knock it out of the park with the 2015. If you don't like it/can't afford it, there will be plenty of "lightly" used 2014s available at great prices with the 50 year anniversary cars on lots.

The origional mustang was released as a 1965 model, but it came out in the middle of 1964. These first mustangs are often refered to as a 1964.5 and to make the 50th Mustang fit correctly with the years, they are releasing it as a 2014.5 model while it will still be technically called a 2015.
This being said, the 2014.5 is supposed to be a full redesign and will be the 50th model. I'm looking forward to see what it will look like.

Wait now or wait later....
If you wait now to buy the 2015, you may as well wait for the 2017 since ford usually updates the cars about two or three years into the release.
Then, you may as well wait for the 2019 or 2020 model for the 55th aniversay model which will surely have something special for that anniversay, (they do it every 5 years), but then you shoudl hold off entirely because the 2022 model will be New new and right around the corner...
Get my point?
Buy when you're ready.
