Default Update forum for 2014 Mustangs

Picked up my 2014 Mustang last saturday and been surfing all night for mods. I have the V6 performance package so i dont want to mess with the front springs. Just need to get the rear end leveled out. Any place I can purchase just the rear springs to drop it an inch or so? Would post a pic but it looks just like a 2013. So far I love it!

My 2007 is for sale in the classifieds.

But I'm not real fond of the auto dimming mirror. It only dims when another cars lights hit the sensor at the top of the mirror. As the dimming isn't instantaneous I am momentarily blinded by the jacka** driving with his high beams on. But I wanted the fog lights and power seat so guess i will have to deal with it.

Check out American Muscle website they have lots of great stuff. They might sell just rear springs not sure though.

Also yes the auto dimming mirrors are all but useless....

I believe Roush sells rear lowering springs only. But, I wouldn't recommend that. Even with the performance package, the front springs and struts are ... um ... not good. I have the Brembo package which has moderate suspension improvements over the base models. I chose to install Steeda Sport Springs as well as Koni STR.T struts/shocks and couldn't be happier. The ride and stance are much improved. Check out the S197 Handling Section on here to learn more and to get some good advice. Specifically read some of the information provided by Sam Strano.

Any way to replace the fog lights on my '14 so that they are a closer match to the headlights?

Like most any car, the bulbs can be replaced with whatever temp bulbs suit your fancy. But IMO, making them a "closer match" simply is "for pretty" and not for functionality. I've dealt with crappy weather conditions at night for many, many years and for functionality, a warmer color bulb in the yellow region; about 2500K to 3000K; provides much improved visibility over the stock color. The higher the number the cooler the bulb and the less useable light the bulb puts out. That's why those douches with the 6000K and cooler bulbs complain that they can't see squat in dark, wet or foggy weather.

Hella makes these Xenon driving lights with reflectors actually designed for the bulbs...might get them to fit. Other people have successfully modded Hella driving lights to fit in the fog light location. You might be able to shop around and find cheaper.

here's an example of someone fitting the driving lights into the foglight location.

Edit: here's a better deal on two with dimensions

I got SR Performance springs on AM for $139.00 on sale and just used the rear for
now, till I can afford struts&shocks to do the front as well. Leveled my 2012 pony.
BMR sells just rear springs, maybe UPR as well, enjoy the twisty's after the install!
