Default SCT SF3 tuner help

Hey guys , I dunno if you guys can help me or what but I'll give it a shot. Two years ago i had an 2000 Mustang GT 4.6 , modded it and in the meantime I bought this tuner for it as well. Bought from A/M in 2009. Anywho I traded in my 2000 for a 2010, before I traded the 2000 I reset the car back to stock. Essentially to unlock the tuner. Im ordering a CIA for my 2010 and it requires a tune. Mind you, ive never updated my tuner since I got it. I plugged the tuner into my car and checked the status of the tuner and it states UNMARRIED. Good, I set up my computer to update the tuner download the X3LW program and tried to auto-update it, the program isnt recognizing the tuner at all. The computer see's it but the program doesnt. I tried to perform a strategy tune on my 2010, an error message comes up and says ECU not supported. Ive downloaded the drivers, and both updates to the program, but to no avail the program wont update the tuner itself. I plug the tuner into the usb port and the screen blinks on for about 10 seconds and cuts off for 5 seconds and keeps doing that. I read on their site to hold the cancel button to make it stay on a solid blue screen and the program STILL wont recongize the tuner. HELP lol

I suggest that you contact Brenspeed or AM and confirm that that model tuner you bought for your 2000 is compatible with with your current 2010. If it is, then you'll need to buy custom tunes to load on it that are compatible with your PCM in your 2010.

Yes that is exactly what I had to do is call SCT. Man, let me tell you...I had a couple of problems. First one was the tuner kept blinking on and off due to my USB 2.0 ports on my desktop, somehow my ports are messed up. Second I had to update the firmware to the tuner from a laptop, then I had to update the tuner. Now its working fine on my 2010. It also put a new feature on the tuner called KAM Reset. Any ideas on what that maybe helpful for? Thanks a bunch guys

I have also noticed that new menu with the "KAM Reset", nobody knows if that works or not ?

I haven't found anything on the SCT Website regarding this new feature...

Kam reset is the same as disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes. It resets the computers memory. Like clearing your history/cache on your home computer.
