Hi All,
I drive 2014 Mustang V6 and I am looking to Install Ford Factory Ambient lighting kit. I wanted to ask if any one have before Installed Ford factory Ambient lighting kit to there V6 or GT and Is your $$$ (money) worth of installing it also where does the lighting in the car gets installed. I know the foot panels how about your Car door handle., does the lighting goes there too. My dealer quoted a price of $425 to complete the installation.
Any suggetions would be helpful.

You installing the crappy ADD-ON kit from Ford? Or are you getting the complete setup out of a Salvage car?

I installed the factory Ambient lighting in my 2006 Mustang from a wrecked later model Mustang. That was rather simple since the Control Button was part of the Center console. So just had to install the correct center console and lighting under the dash a and that was that.

The 2014 Ambient is much more integrated and controlled through the cluster so don't think adding it on would be easy at all with lots of parts and reprogramming of the modules in the car.

I have seen the ADD-ON kit from Ford .. not impressive at all.

The Ambient kit is the one available on Ford Website
Part# CL8Z-13E700-AA
Not sure it is called Add-On Kit ., And Defenetly not from the Salvage car.
I don't have the V6 premium Package that comes with My Color 6 Gauge Cluster and Ambient lighting.
Hence I am slowly upgrading my car to these Cool Pkg's ., So I thought thats the first step upgrading my car.
If you have any suggections to upgrade Base V6 to Premium V6 please let me know.
