Small rust spots on roof

True.
But throwing on a layer of protection and washing every 1 or 2 weeks certainly helps.

To make things easier, I always hit these spots with Trix, saves me the time and trouble of claying ferrous contaminants...

Always good to layer up the touch up paint after the previous layer dries, last layer of clearcoat and its hardly noticeable after..

Every 6 months should be good.you'd be surprised at how much your car bleeds....

The newer paints are a single step and do not require clear coat. Once you get the paint chip filled with touch up paint and polished to your satisfaction, you're done! No clear coat necessary.

What exactly do you mean by 'single step'?

Modern day paints use a three stage basis when it comes to Auto paints..

Older car's back in the day just had primer and the base coat -> is this what you were referring to?
