Default Purchasing a 2011+v6, what to look out for?

I'm looking into a new mustang. I'd like to go with a 3.7L v6. I was wondering, as far as years go, what were the major differences between the 2011, 2012, 2013 (appearance, I know) and 2014? Were there any problems regarding the new 3.7L engine in 2011? Did they fix any known problems in 2012 or 2013? Let me know, I'd like to be 100% sure before I go browsing and making decisions!
Thanks guys

As far as I know there is no difference between the '11 and '14s. The only thing that was wrong with my '11 was the paint peeling and bubbling on the underside of the front of the hood.you have to catch it before the warranty is over or it's on your dime. The drive shafts are annoying and kinda bump/jar into reverse at time (I was told a one price DS will help). Besides that I can't think of any other problems. I have 40k on my '11 and it runs great.

Ford got the important things right. motor, trans, etc on the '11 v6's. Most complaints are because of sync issues. Damn technology, lol.

Are you looking for a new car or a replacement for your wrecked car?

I test drove a "used" 2011 3.7L V6 2 years ago(less than 10K on the odo.) When I was shoping for a ride. After driving the 08 GT then driving the 2011, it felt like night and day. Warrenties and cost the 11 was a much better deal, but the ride didn't compare. I still get 20mpg city on my V8, so it wasn't an issue for me.
Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with a V6, I'll just never go back from a V8 wheteher or not the tech problems are less or more, I still have to enjoy the ride until everything tech wise is satisfied.
Good Luck on your new one.

I have heard that the `13+ got a one piece driveshaft, where the `11 and `12 had a two piece, which causes the issues over 112MPH.

I have not personally verified this.

The looks are night and day IMO and the `13+ wins hands down.

I am biased.

Yeah I love all the packages with the '13;i really like the styling of the exterior and the interior. The HID's are definately a win, as well as the led tail lights. I want to make sure i get one with a set of 255 pirelli tires as opposed to the 215 (IMO thats a huge difference)
Also the electronics package where you can test the 0-60, 1/8th mile, 1/4 mile, and adjust the traction control. Crazy changes. I'd prefer a '13 overall; I've just gotta make sure i can get the best deal. Hopefully around labor day when they're removing all the 2013's from the lot!
