Default gt500 front end damage repair cost

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-Mustang-Shelby-GT500-Coupe-2-Door-2007-Ford-Mustang-Shelby-GT500-Wrecked-Rebuilder-Salvage-/161024988927?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item257dd656ff&vxp=mtr#ht_27276wt_1026
Just curious as to what would be a ballpark estimate to fix a car like this with this much front end damage.

He's got most of the parts (he says), but the frame is bent, and I bet it needs some suspension parts, too. If it's a salvage title, you may not be able to register it for road use in your state. Still, $19k for a Shelby with an intact drivetrain may be a good deal, and you could transplant that into another car. You'd certainly have everything you need to do it.

$19k is way to much. I'd only want the motor and transmission and for $19k there are better motor options.

If it was totaled then repair cost was at least 70% of value.

My point was that if you bought the car, you'd have everything you need to transplant the power/drivetrain into a non-shelby car. that's pretty much the most economical way to do it - with a complete donor car.

Personally, I'd rather have a coyote motor than a Shelby motor, but even then, it would still cost upwards of $18k to put one into my 2012 V6, but mostly because I'd be converting to an aftermarket manual trans at the same time.

Spend your $19k on this and have some left over...

Not planning on buying this car and understand that you can get a better engine for 19k. Just was wondering what the cost would be to get it fixed and back on the road. I'm guessing around 15k to fix following what dmhines said.

Id say at least 10k, a lot more if you let the dealer find all the parts.

But if it was closer to me Id make an offer... Transplant the motor, transmission, dash, rear bumper and maybe a few other things into my car. Sell the seats, interior panels, rear end, anything else useable on Craigslist and then scrap the rest.

Oh forgot about them having all the new parts already... But still by the time its back to new, it wouldnt really be any more expensive to buy a non-wrecked GT500.

If you could do the work yourself, it wouldn't be a bad deal as a project car, depending on your states salvage title laws. But this is similar to the damage I did to my 97 back in '08 or 09 and that was close to 5k for pretty much recycled parts and probably a cheap rebuild. Im guessing in the 8-10k range too as a conservative estimate.
