New mid muffler and o/r set up (before/after)
I haven't seen many mid muffler set up on s197 models so I thought I would throw this up for for those looking for a new set up or those questioning sound on certain set ups.
The off road pipes really made a dramatic difference in the sound, increased the volume along with echo in the exhaust (which I like) but added lots of rasp on decent acceleration and idle revs (that aren't shown in the after).
I will be exploring a few options for reducing the rasp and will make another video accordingly but it will be a while. If anyone has ideas on how to do so, I'm open to options! Thanks!

I knew x-pipes were infamous for rasp, but I think it has to do with the combination of the muffler type, and x mid pipe. Because I have heard other o/r x set ups in person that didn't have the rasp.
I think straight through muffler designs in combination with o/r x pipes cause the rasp.
I worry that an o/r h will just replace the rasp with another obnoxious sound instead of solving the issue.

I'm surprised that's not louder.
I put mid mufflers on mine just to act as resonators (after the headers), and just for giggles I took the axle back off and fired it up. Those little mufflers don't really do much muffling...and I still had cats on there too. Granted this is with long tube headers but I do have an H pipe on there.

Thanks man
Hopefully sometime on Saturday you can if I can make my way to the Pep Boys show. What's the time frame for the show?
Does anyone know how much a high flow cat reduces the sound on the exhaust? Does it do as much as the stock cats???
