Default Roush supercharger for my 5.0 automatic.

To start out with I have a 2012 5.0 automatic and I was thinking of going with a Roush Phase 1 supercharger because of the price. Today I called two Roush Ford dealers for pricing and install but since its Saturday I guess I'll have to call back Monday ?

Few questions I have does the PCM need to be sent to Roush to be programmed or could a tune just be loaded on to the SCT tuner that I have already for the car ? Anyways this is something new to me also is there anything else I need to know before purchasing one and if there is any one in the New Orleans area that can recommend a shop for the install oh ya just thought about it I heard if with the phase 1 kit you retain the factory warranty ?
Ill also take any other recommendations for other brand supercharges.

Thanks....

Ask the Roush/Ford experts that are going to install the supercharger. They may recieve the tuning file for your PCM when they order your supercharger and have it on hand to upload after the installation is complete. That would be my guess. OTOH, Roush may still require reprogramming the PCM at the Roush headquarters. But it would seem unlikely that that would be the case. If you do the supercharger install at home you will have to ship the PCM to Roush from what I have read, and they ship it back within a day or so. To be safe I'd make sure the original factory tune is loaded back onto your car from the SCT before you do the Roush mod. Afterwards, the Roush tune is probably going to be your baseline new factory tune.

Thanks I know I'm not trying this myself since I have no garage.

For my 06 Roush M90 I had to send the pcm to Roush in a prepaid fedx box and they returned it with the new tune loaded in and the spark plugs. Turn around was 3 day to Maui. Not bad at all.

I think the warranty only applies if an approved Ford / Roush dealer does the install. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
