I've had 4.10's since '08 and by far the best mod I have. It's like driving a new car. You will loose a little gas milage, but we don't buy these cards to try to save the planet, do we?

In California, the labor was $340. The gears, installation and bearing kit from American Muscle cost around $235

They probably want to change all the bearings. When they did mine labor and necessary bearings was less than $400.

Heres a question. I ordered my 4.10's last week from American Muscle. I have a SCT tuner. Do I have to get a new tune for the gears or can I program the tuner myself?

I have the same question, i was just thinking about it. I called another shop about an hour away from me and they gave me the same quote $760, for gears bearings and labor. I think I am gonna go with my local shop, 10$ cheaper and 10 mins from my house :P .

I had 4.10's on my old GT and I loved them. There is no way I would have them on my current ride as it's more than double the power I had on the GT. I would recommend you go with them. It will make the driving experience more enjoyable

I only had 6,000 miles on my car when I had gears installed. You probably need new bearings.

You don't need a new tune with a sct x3. You can simply select the gears you want when loading your current tune.

So how do you do that with the tune you already have in just uninstall it and install it again?
