You don't have to uninstall it, just reinstall it. When loading it'll ask you if you want to change settings or something to that nature. Select the option to change. In that page it'll ask you if you want to alter spark, axle ratio, etc. just change axle ratio and leave everything else the way it is

You got it. Then select optional parameters and when you get to gears just change it to 4.10.

Hey guys,

I just wanted to add a little more info about updating your gears with the SCT tuner. Like already mentioned, you can change the gear selection when uploading a new or the same tune. However, you'll have to do this every time you switch between the Bama Street and Race tune. So, to make things even easier, give one of our Bama Tuning Specialists a call @ 888.257.1770 and they'll easily be able to send you out 3 new custom tunes with the new gears included.

This way you won't have to worry about selecting a new gear ratio in the tuner every time you want to switch tunes. I thought you guys may like the convenience!

Just added 4:10 gears to my 96 GT. Got 27 mpg highway at 70 to 75.

Lots more fun to drive dont have to shift all the time.

4.10s should be the FIRST mod you do. I know everyone says CAI and tune, but I say gears. Nothing will change your car as much right off the bat. I'm still love my gears even after supercharging. My car pulls hard all the way to the top end.
