Default Limp Home Mode/Check engine light/loss in RPM & Gas Milage

Hi Forum, 2005 ford mustang v6 stock

The other day while I was driving withg AC on my car went into limp home mode. I turned the car off and it went away. Next day it happened agian without AC on. This time the check engien light came on as well as the limp home mode. Turned car off once more & it went away but I have had a drop in RPM 1000 down to just about 500 & gas milage seems lower. I've cleaned the throttle body and mass air flow sensor & Just changed the throttle position sensor after reading other posts on this website. RPm still sitting at 500/600. Any input would be great.

thanks

+1 Only times Ive ever had the wrench light and limp home mode active were because of the MAF sensor. Good place to start, unless you can pull the CEL code too.

Also, did you pull the battery and go through the relearn procedure?
