Default Price for a 2010 GT

A friend of mine is looking to cut his bills down because he is going to build a house and wants to get rid of his mustang. What is reasonable price for

2010 Mustang GT Premium
with 22K in Candy Red
Manual
Tasteful mods, such as a set of black wheels, intake, and quarter louvers and side scoops
If you want any more specifics let me know. He takes care of his vehicles and doesnt really drive them hard.

Well it depends on many factors but given the information here on a private sale you're looking at 20-22k probably.

I think about $18k would be my limit for a '10. You can lay your hands on used '11s and '12s for the low$20k's.

I was thinking a little lower, like maybe 16. The mods don't really add much to the value of the vehicle and regardless of what friends and family say, any used mustang I've bought I've assumed has been driven hard at one time or another and it's a roll of the dice. Then again, condition and location have much more to do with resale value. Wish him the best with the sale!

look it up on EDMUNDS.COM, closer to actual values than KBB or NADA

Are you looking to buy it or to help him judge the price to list it at? After shopping recently for 5.0's, I'd put the price of a '10 in my area at around $17-19 private party. Retail they're still on lots for low 20's. 11's and 12's are still mid 20's around here, for the most part.

I mean value is what people will pay for it. That's where those prices come from on those websites.

Private party you're obviously always going to get less than a dealership is going to ask for it because there's no implied trust in a private sale and usually no warranty given.

Low 20's at a dealer, high teen's private party.
