Bullet Ford Racing CAI with 85mm piping is the best for your V6 application. I bet the above dudes are right about the TB, I still had the CAI, 70BBK no TB spacer (it's 65mm and will create a narrowing distortion (Yeah that sounds technical). with a 92 SCT tuner.
Mac Pro Box is an H-Pipe but the H is a steel box about as big as a phone book. It was made to make the V6 sound like a V8, with some high flow cats, headers and GT-500 mufflers you can get great performance and excellent milage. I did the works on the suspension, frame stiffeners, 4.10, Posi. and it was a real fun car. It got hit so I traded it in. MAC Pro Box AM $300

Hajimu,

Welcome to MF! As these guys already mentioned, a CAI/Tuner package is a great place to start modding. You'll see the largest increase in power for the dollar with one of these kits. Also, if you order your tuner from AmericanMuscle, you'll be enrolled into our Free Tunes for Life program. This will get you free tune update for any future bolt-on mods you add down the road!

If you have any questions, feel free to send me a PM. I'd be happy to assist you anyway possible!

Shane

tuner/custom tune combo is the way to go!!!!
Do it!!! You won't be dissapointed, even with the 4.0 V6 engines.

Typical gain from a CAI & good custom tune is roughly 15-20 RWHP for the 4.0L. That's real life, not advertised BS.

If you havent solved it yet, this combo would work very well for you...Change the sound when running and it will add a decent amount of HP for the money. As you add in the future you will be able to continue to tune as well.

First thing to do is the CAI and tuner. Don't get the throttle body or the spacer, the TB causes more problems than it is worth for most cars, and the spacer is just a complete waste of your money and does nothing on a fuel injected car (made sense on a carburetor but not on fuel injection). The Jerry Stranigan ported and polished throttle body is different though because it is the stock TB just cleaned up.

Dual exhaust is a nice addition, but mainly for sound. Don't spend a lot of money on a set of GT500 take off mufflers though as someone suggested. Up until the 2010 model year the GT500 used the stock GT mufflers for the GT automatic and there was nothing special about them. I see people paying good money for things because they came off the GT500 when all it is they buy is a part out of the Ford parts bin (like the "GT500 side skirts" that I see people paying top dollar for when all they are is the stock V6 side skirt).
