Need some wheel opinions

What's up guys....

Inevitably, I'm going to need tires soon (6 months or so). Was thinking of ditching my 5-spoke 18's (though I do like them) and getting a nice tire/rim package from AM. I have a silver car, and I'm just really not sure where to go with it.

My rims now are silver, and they blend really well. Most of the time, black rims are hard to tell what the design is until you're up close and I just feel like it's been done to death so I kinda don't want black. I also think if you don't have the right rims, chrome doesn't look right, especially with silver, so I'm stuck.

I kind of want either charcoal or silver or machined of some sort. Here's my car:

Here's the rims I'm considering so far:

Charcoal GT500 Style 18's

Machined AMR 18's

Chrome Saleen Style 18's

Silver AMR 19's (what I'm leaning most toward)

I'm just unsure about 19's...it would fill my wheel gap more basically to the point of nothing probably since I'm lowered 1.5 inches but will probably hurt ride quality. 19's is doable, anything above that I think doesn't belong on a Mustang IMO.

Opinions? Probably going staggered 255/275 or just 255 all around, the 235's are way too small.

Charcoals for me. The silver doesn't match the silver of your car enough, so the contrast would look great.

agreed with the above, the darker color goes better

The dark charcoal of my '11 GT/CS wheels looks good with our I got Silver car.

Charcoal definitely. I'd recommend 18s simply for more tire options.

Personally I would go with the silver AMRs as far as the look goes, however I think an 18" rim is the perfect size so the other AMRs would be my choice. Head on over to the Chop section of the forum and someone there will be happy to photoshop any of those wheels onto your car so you can get an idea what it will look like.

19's look better in my opinion. I have both, my 19's actually have a taller and softer sidewall than my 18's, so the 19's ride a lot smoother.

If you are going on looks alone, then it's got to be 19's, if you want performance then 18's are probably best.

Tire rack will let you preview them....machined AR 19s would be my choice!

I have a white '12 GT. it does have the over the top Super snake stripe package in matte black. I had gloss black and silver aftermarket wheels on it. 18 X 9's. I went 18 X 8 matte black FRPP and have received more compliments in 2 months than I did the whole time I had the other wheels. I was looking for a wheel to match my stripes since I have an all white car. I stuck with 18's because of what some of the above posts have said, plus I have a set of almost new 18" tires. The 19" option is also valid and does ride A lot smoother IMHO, if you are buying tires and wheels at the same time. Put me down for Charcoal AMR's
