Seems odd but, something happened. Here's some Ford Dealer stories: Back in the early 90's when the Mustang was still the Fox body style; my buddy worked there as a mechanic and told me all sorts of new car theft stories, he told me about how new cars would have parts stolen off them in the lot....one story, thieves actually opened the hood of a new 5.0 and stole all the spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor and air filter, another story: This is a good one, the thieves actually stole the rear end cover and gear fluid on a new Mustang....who the freak steals gear fluid?? Where the car was parked he said there was no/not enough fluid on the ground so, they must of taken it with them....he lol big time at that! Thieves would also steal the GT's fog lamp bulbs and they would steal O2 sensors from under the car and especially the louvered tail lights on the GT's. My buddy said they would replace the missing parts and put the cars back on the lot. So, sh* like this DOES happen and someone may have stole the whole lens assembly while it was on the lot and cut the wires instead of unplugging them....and the dealer did a quick fix....maybe?? IDK. Good luck and give us an update on Fords response.

That sucks. I can't imagine how it could have happened period, either on the line, the dealership or your storage unit.

But it did.

No offense intended, but reading you posts I 100% believe you had nothing to do with it as you don't sound car savvy enough to have messed with it.

The thing that bothers me, when I bought my Mustang new off the lot the salesman and I did a complete walk around of the car before I left. We checked all the lights, indicators, hazards tires, etc... The salesman was especially proud to show off the sequential lights. Which we then had to show off to my wife and daughter, another salesman and then some other customers.

I am sorry to hear this is going so poorly for you and that the dealership isn't making it right without pressure. This is something that never should have left the lot.
