Default Used procharger for $4000

Found a pro charger kit High Output on Craigslist, according to the seller, it has everything i need for a 10PSI, includes the injectors and fuel pump . He said it was lightly used and he sold the car to start a new project but going with a different setup. Problem is that he lives about 3 hours away so i don't have the luxury to take someone with me just to go look at it.

I could be easily fooled by him and end up with a procharger that doesn't run or need to spend another 1 or 2 more grand for missing parts to complete the kit.

what do you guys think? Here are some pics;

I believe you can buy a Vortech blower for that amount or less so for that reason alone, I'd pass...

$4000 seems pretty high for a used kit that you don't know if everything is there, how many miles it was actually used or the care given it during that time. That isn't much less than what a new Procharger would cost, or one of the other systems.

You can practically get a new kit for that money. PM me for more information.

I talked to him a little more, he seems like a good person, he said it has 1500 miles on it. I wasn't aware that i can get a brand new blower for 4 grand. I guess i'll pass . we're gonna keep in touch and i think he is going to lower the price if it doesn't sell soon, how much should i pay for it? 3k?

first, you need more/better pictures.
seeing a bunch of parts in a big pile doesnt help to know whats there.
picture of piping, picture of the IC, picture of the small parts together, etc etc

I'd get a parts list if possible and check off each part. There are brand new kits for $4k, but depending on what kit he has, you actually could be getting a decent deal. If it's one of the higher end kits with the intercooler, it might be worth it. Figure out exactly which kit it is and what's included first. American Muscle has their brand new intercooled Procharger kits that are ~$5500-$5800.

If you're gonna spend 4 Grands, get a Paxton or the Vortech V3 with intercooler and all.
The Pocharger is not worth $1800 more for the same results really.
