2005 mustang Cooling Fan
Hi,
I have a 2005 Mustang, and I am having problems with the cooling fan.
Fan works 70% of the time when the A\C is on. Can anyone tell me why the cooling fan is not working 100%.
Thank you.

If the A/C is 'On' the fan motor should be running all of the time the A/C is on. Part of what makes an A/C system work is air moving over the condenser. If the fan doesn't work, then the whole system doesn't work like it's supposed to.
OP, when the fan shuts off, does the air start to get warm? Are you sure it's the fan turning off and not the clutch disengaging from the compressor that you are hearing?
My first guess is that you may be a little low on Freon but do NOT go out and simply buy a can and try to shove it into your system. Having an overcharged system is worse than having a system that is low.
What you need is a manifold gauge set to really see what is going on.
Oh and while you are at it, change your cabin air filter. You'd be surprised how messy that thing can get.
