Do you a copy of the Owners Manual? If not, send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you a pdf.
There should be a button to push at the bottom of the speedometer face but yours may be different than mine depending on the options.
As stated above, many repairs are due to self-induced issues. But if you were to throw a code, most auto parts stores will pull the code for free. Be sure to use the forum's search feature though, since about all of your future questions have likely been beaten to death.... I mean.... "discussed in detail".

i foun the swithc, its a button that says reset, menu, etc on top of the cd player. its not on the odometer thing at all.
but yeah i love this car! i just checked out the sound system and i LOVE IT! i think i got a good deal considering it has everything i wanted to do to my old mustang, but cost less to get it all on a new mustang GT and its newer!

No more expensive to maintain than any other car. It's a Ford, not a Ferrari lol.
Congrats on your new Stang, still loving mine after all these years.

thanks, do u think i got a good one at a good time? i know unless ur rich u cant always have the latest and greatest, i was prety frustrated cuz in 2004 i got a mustang v6 then in 2005 the new body came out. and i hear next year they gonna do a total change again?
o well i still am enjoying having an sn197 in 2013 and feels pretty good. hopefully the people with the new body styles wont make me feel too inferior on the road :P
either way wil take 4 years to pay off this car, so gotta make the best of it!
i mean it just amazes me how much faster and faster cars are getting and going to get! i remember my friends 98 mustang gt back in 2000 something i thought was a rocket, then i test drove a 2003 gt and now a 2006 gt. and i hear in 2011 they went up another 100 HP!!!
the new sn550 is gonna be scary! kinda looks like a ferrari california to me!

Well I never owned a 06 gt for that matter so I would not know. But after looking at car surveys I can say that they are expensive to maintain. Sure they were fun, cool cars when they were new . But like anything age does do some wear. I hear a lot of 06 gt suffering from electrical problems, but that's all. Go to a consumer review website and see for yourself. Like any car age, mileage and wear can be a factor. Parts however are expensive compared to your average cheap Honda, Toyota, Nissan, and general motors product. I'm by no means a Japanese fan boy but after riding in a 1996 Toyota Camry I can say that car is smooth. My overall suggestion is listen to your dad. Many SAMMYWRONG SERVICE auto repair shops[/U][/URL] know that 06 gt is expensive to maintain and is not what it seems. As the first person said before above timing belt jobs are a pain in the neck. You must change your timing belt or risk severe engine damage. This means complete front end removal along with several fasteners.
