Default Need Your Input; Amp and Sub Mounting

I apologize if its incorrect to post here, I just thought I'd get more views

So I got my amp and sub up and running thanks to some help from you all on the forums. Now, I've got my place set up to where I want to mount the sub and amp; the Amp on the back of the passenger side back seat, and the sub in the corner of the trunk also on the passenger side, behind the rear right wheel

Amp:

My consideration was to drill screws underneath and above the amp, but I'm an inch too low of anything to drill into (aside from the seat fabric) So I'm not sure what to do. Was considering heavy duty Velcro, but I don't think it'll hold at that verticle angle.

And here I'm considering the heavy duty velcro.

What I'd like to hear from is your input; what would you consider for the best ideal inconspicuous way to mount these items?

Much appreciated.

Glad to hear you got the amp/sub going, that really makes a difference in our cars.

I had a similar challenge, I cut a piece of sheet metal slightly larger than the amp, painted it black, and screwed it to the car. I fastened the amp to the sheet metal.

Have you considered just screwing your amp into your sub box? Then you have nothing permanent to the seat.

Yeah but it would be inconvenient for quick removal of the sub if i wanted the extra room. I'd have to unplug all the wires in the amp as well. Figured I'd just have it on the seat so if i need space i can just remove the sub

I have done 2 different things with amps in my mustangs, one was screw it to the back of the seat like you have pictured, and I just screwed into the plastic. On my 13 I built a shelf and hung it under the rear deck speakers and it has 2 amps on it. It is out of the way and very clean looking. I put the sub in the same place behind the rear passenger tire and in the '13 there is a bolt above it, not sure why it is there, but I used a small L bracket to connect the bolt to the sub to keep the sub in place. It is very solid, but it is also easy to remove in case you want to take it out.

Where do you guys pull the power from for your amp? Do you tap into something in the trunk?

The main power comes right off the battery. You need to run a large wire, the size depends on the load you are running, There is at least one write-up in the forum showing exactly how to do that.
For the ground you need to find a good spot and drill a screw, and the amp turn-on wire can be spliced into the antenna power wire, the small blue one going into the antenna.

If you can, have a custom box made to fit in the space behind that tail light. Shouldn't cost more than $75-80. I made my own in a few hours and it cost me $12. You'll be amazed at how much space you can free up doing so.
If you're not too concerned about the fold down seats, you can mount carpeted MDF across the trunk behind the seats. That's where I mounted my amps. You can cut the MDF to fit just the amp and still allow use of a pass-through trunk.

If you want pics to give you an idea, I'll be happy to post them.

A little off topic. but what size sub is that? Did you custom make that box or did you order it somewhere?
