Been thinking about how the 2010+ v6 mustangs have more HP than the 2009 and less mustang GTs! I think its pretty impressive how technology keeps getting better so quickly! These s197 v6 stangs that i see with dual exhaust, pony edition, the new ones, etc...are those true duals or y-pipe dual?

Y-pipe duals? On a V6??? Think about that...

Yes, the 3.7L Pony does boast more HP than the 4.6L GT but the GT beats it in torque. And as we all know, HP wins sales; Torque wins races.

...and take your Ritalin.

Actually, I had that on my old Dodge Intrepid. Both banks ran into a Y-pipe. The pipe then ran into the passenger side of a muffler mounted sideways, and the muffler had an exit on either side like some of the older Camaros. I did that because it sounded better than the X-pipe most people were using. Yeah I know...but it was my first foray into modifying cars and it actually worked well and sounded pretty good. Sorry for the tread hijack.

I remember those Camaros. I stand corrected (to some extent...).

You're thinking of the 2011+ v6's. The 2010 has the same power train as the older cars. And yes, it is a true dual exhaust on the 3.7.

That's correct. The 2010 V6 was the same 4.0L as the 05 thru 09 and the 2010 GT was the same 4.6L as the 05 thru 09 but with the Bullitt tune for the additional 15 CRANK HP (which is about the same as putting a crappy canned tune on ANY 4.6L).

Yes the 2011+ V6's are true dual. Kind of bad to have 300+ hp stuffed down a single pipe.

Roush Axle Back only installed on this one:
