Oops.....I see you already got one! Good....tell your "RICH" buddies to jump into their Beemers and head for the nearest cliff! Regular "STANGS" are the coolest blue collar cars ever to come out of Detroit, or Dearborn, or wherever they're making them now!

The S197 is classic looking, so it will never go out of style. and it's not worth living beyond your means to have a newer one! although as soon as I can afford one I will have one

Find new friends. Just kidding...kind of. If that's what you can afford and what you wanted then it's all good. There is always something newer coming along.

I plan on keeping my car forever. It's my first Mustang and I love it.

A lot of people are jumping and buying up the S197's. They are holding their value really well and 30 years for now the remaining S197's will be just as much of a classic as the 64-73. Only thing I would ever trade my 2013 in on is a Saleen and it would have to be a 2011+ and it would have to be gotta have it green or Saleen's green forget its name but other than that.... Not trading it in ever once its engine goes ill just rebuild it.

I plan on keeping my S197 till I die.. Currently use it as my DD/Drag car when the time comes that I find a different vehicle for use as a DD I will just turn my S197 into a pure strip car.

Im sure the "Modern classic" look will be repeated again, but it wont be for a very long time and will be different from the 05-09. The 05-09 will be a car worth holding onto because it was the first time Ford brought the original back to life.

Yea who cares what ur friends say. I've had my car since 07 when it was brand new. Paid it off in a few years then modded away. Trust me those cars won't come with the aftermarket parts that some of us have put into our cars. Plus I love the body style which the cars have all mimicked since 05. Not saying I don't enjoy them but these cars were very well styled even before the 11,12,13. I'm the type that would rather put money in a built engine over a new car any day

It's not what you buy
It's what you build

Ive thought about selling mine alot already. I sold my track car to get something i would drive more than 5 times a year. I drive my car alot but on those track days I feel bad for beating on it. So the answer to your question is depends on when i get impatient. Current plan is new house then build a new race car and keep my 2011. We will see lol
