what are the chances of me blowing my motor?

hey thx, i see you running radials or slicks in the picture? Does anything in the rear end break when you hook? you slip or drop the clutch at the 1/4 mile?
How bad is it to shift hard from 1st to 2nd and so on? I shift pretty damn quick and before the blower, the car would spin 90% of 2nd, if i get radials and it hooked, what could break?

And with a blower, HP as measured at the rear wheels is just what's left for fun, it doesn't include the power the motor needs to provide at the crank pulley to pull that blower or drivetrain frictional / windage loses.

The tune is EVERYthing. Get yourself a wideband gauge if you dont already have one. That will put your mind at ease when your WOT and you can see your getting enough fuel. I have 300 or so passes at the track with my car. The only thing to fail was the rear end clutches. I was running slicks until this year, just switched to DRs. These cars are built to be tough but some motors do give up at the 450 point.......but most do not. Enjoy your car dude but remember the tune is everything.

It really depends on the motor's components. Some have blown well under 500, others over 500 are still fine.
The one thing you mentioned that raises a B I G red flag was your fuel delivery issue. As mentioned, you MUST have adequate fuel, with some room to spare, too. If your pump is "running out", it's probably just a stock-ish pump with no circuit upgrades (boost-a-pump) and not a twin-pump setup. YOUR TUNER SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO TUNE WITH FUEL RUNNING DRY!!! You WILL eventually pop your motor.
Keep in mind, as temperatures cool, you'll generate more power, and need more fuel. Safe tune, good motor.
Enjoy the boost
