Default is it common for 06 gt ride to be a little bumpy?

i never really noticed this before but my parents commented the other day that the rides a little bumpy, and i notice it kinda goes bump....bump....bump.... when i drive, but barely noticeable unless you are paying attention, even on smooth new road.

my tire pressure are all good and when i push down on the car there is good resistance so i don't think the shocks are bad, is this something i should get checked out?

i have a few months of warranty left but the dealer is an hour away. i was wondering maybe its the GT suspension sitting low thats making it seem kinda bumpy? its not too bad, its just barely noticeable. It's not making any noises.

If there is a continuous, steady bump with a set rhythm to it, you may have a tire or wheel issue. If it is just a bit rough over bumps in the road, maybe your shocks are weak. If it bounces like a rocking horse after a bump, the shocks may be the issue there too.

Also, if they come from a soft riding car, the Mustang will seem rough.

It sounds like you're describing a continuous, rhythmic motion rather than the typical rough ride of a sports car. If so, then I agree with AzPete regarding a tire or wheel issue. These are very common on sports cars as the tire construction on a performance tire can be more prone to belt issues as compared to touring tires. Also, due to shorter and stiffer sidewalls, we're more prone to wheel damage.

Find a shop that can perform a RoadForce balance in lieu of a standard spin balance. This will determine if you have either a wheel or tire issue.

Sports cars have their share of little idiosyncrasies. Obtaining a decent ride can sometimes be a chore.

And don't forget that colder weather usually means flat-spotting until the tire warms up. And performance tires can be especially prone to flat-spotting and take longer to "round-out" than other tires due to the tire compounds and how they react to temperature.

Are your tires inflated to the proper pressure?

Has the car been lowered?

Are the shocks & struts the original ones that came on the car? If aftermarket, whose?

What tires (mfr, tire model, and size) are on it? What inflation pressures?

How wide are the wheels?

32psi is the recommended tire pressure. I'd replace the shocks and struts with some performance ones, even if it's not lowered.

Do you have stock size tires?
