Default Looking for some advice.. Having second gear issues.

It just started getting bad. If I shift fast (any RPM even slow speed) it will grind 1 - 2nd (power shifting it will not go in at all). All other gears seem fine, going into second normal driving seems harder than normal to go into gear but no grind. Also reverse seems a bit harder. Forget power shifting.

Is there an upgrade to fix this issue?

Seems like the syncros.

Not much you can do other then replace them.

I always thought that it was a bad transmission when it does that. Don't take my word for it thought.

Did mustangs come with a 5 year 60k mile powertrain warranty when you bought yours? I would be very surprised if they honored it since you are supercharged i guess but that would be impressive of ford if they did.

Sounds like the synchros are gone, especially since you already have torque limiters.

Funny thing is, it has been fine. Took it to the track about a month ago, power shifted three runs and had no issues at all. This cam up after a trip to the Lake George Nationals this weekend. 180 mile one way trip, thats when it started this and I did not screw around on the way there at all.

Well if you are going to spend on a new tranny you might as well go all out for the 6060 instead.
