thanks. Shorty X should do?

I've been back and forth on the sound of these Pype Bombs since install. Some times they sound great, some times they sound like a fart can on a 4 banger. I had my gf rev it up a bit while I was behind the car on the ground looking at the hangers (there's been some rattling on the driver side) and it seems to sound quite a bit different than from inside the cabin (less fart canny). Still can't decide if I like them or not tho lol

May end up swapping them for the Borla ATAKs sooner than planned but we'll see.

I have the cat back and it does sound amazing. I've done everything I can short of cutting it up to make it fit right though. The passenger's side is fine, but the driver's side sticks out about 1/2" too far and is about 1/4" too close to the bumper. I plan on replacing it though because it bugs me so much.

Has anyone got any videos of a '12 with GT Takeoffs on them? I'm actually considering sending these back and getting those instead. Compared to all the videos I reviewed beforehand, it just sounds way too fart canny in person. I'm interested in how the GT exhaust would sound on these (and if anyone could chime in as to whether the '11 GT Takeoffs would fit on my '12 I'd appreciate it)

My 2013 was sticking out pretty badly too until I have my exhaust shop custom cut it to the lenght I want.

I had pype bombs on my 2013 for about 2 weeks. The fit was beyond terrible and the drone was ridiculous. Even with adjusting the mids the right side stuck out over an inch more than the left. Its funny because you go on americanmuscle reviews and everyone says there was no drone at all. LOL They droned so much the change in my console rattled... I bought the Roush axle backs and the fitment and sound was 100% perfect.

yes!!! couldn't agree with this more. the drone is nearly unbearable!! I'm looking at going back to the stock exhaust and throwing long tube heads and an x pipe on there instead of keeping these on. maybe even just some GT Takeoffs or something.

Go with Stainless Works Cat Back system won't regret it. You get that old school mustang sound.

thanks for all the input from everyone! really appreciate it. don't forget I'm running a sixer over here! trying to avoid that fart can ricer sound at all costs! (pypes bomb still sound that way to me on my sixer but it's growing on me very slowly. I'm thinking the LT headers and x-pipe will help out)
