Ford Dealer DRL disable help.
#11
Bought my 06 in the US and when I imported the car to Canada, the US dealer turned the DRL's on for me with the computer. The dealer called Ford and they walked him through the programming. Watched them come on myself. If they can turn them on by programming, they should be able to turn them off.

↑↑↑ Sounds like the standard cop-out weasel words. But since DRLs are not mandatory in the USA and since many 2005 and later Mustangs do not feature them it is unreasonable to balk at deactivating them.

Well the woman service advisor was giving me every excuse why they couldn't. I think she felt I knew more than her about the whole situation and didn't wa t to sound stupid. My only issue is if they hook it up and then say sorry we can not do it when for a fact I know they can. Over the phone she said they would do it free of charge. I walked in and she never asked for the keys and went into default mode. This is why I hate dealers. They make it so fing hard to get **** done. If they do not know how to get it done they need to call ford tech-line. I'm not going to take no for an answer. They are not pocketing my 80 for them to say sorry no go. I will be the worst customer they have seen.
