Default Tremec T56 Magnum XL transmission fluid

I have done allot of research on what fluid to use after the break-in using the dexron III. I have found it not only confusing but misleading in many case's and not founded on facts. So I contacted Tremec and specifically asked about the Tremec T56 Magnum XL.

Here's the answer I received from tech support today for anyone who needs to know.

Good morning Nick,

Thank you for your interest in the Tremec Product Line. We do recommend Mobile 1 Synthetic AFT and Pennzoil Synchromesh fluid for your application. Some people have a hard time finding one or the other but they are both good fluids to use in your application.

Regards,

Mobile1 synthetic ATF works well. I've also seen a lot of guys use Redline ATF with success. I don't think you could go wrong with either, plus it's nice to use exactly what the manufacturer recommends too.

BTW- I'm jealous of your T56 Magnum XL upgrade. Enjoy it!

lol, Thanks. Expensive road but, I was not going to sink money into the 3650. May as well toss it out the window..

That it is expensive, but you can't buy a better trans! Now you'll love the smoother shifts and the fact you won't have to worry when rowing gears. Which is important when sporting a positive displacement blower, like the E-Force.

Good luck with it!
