Default Completely dead. Doors wont close, no lights,,

I unlocked the doors with the fob, got in, and tried to start. Every single light on/in the car went dead. Not a click or a single sound. The doors wont even close. I tried a jump, nothing.

Then after giving up and walking away with the door slightly ajar, the interior lights and radio go on! Cool, I got to start it, bam, dead again..

What could be the problem?

Sounds like a loose battery terminal or a bad ground somewhere. Since the power came back I doubt its a fuse, although it wouldn’t hurt to check them. Good luck...

Let's assume you don't have a wet SJB.

Since it's intermittent, I concur on checking for a loose battery cable and would also remove and clean the battery terminals and cable clamps. Also, a near-dead battery can have enough capacity to light a few lights but as soon as you turn the key and throw a hefty load on it, that capacity literally disappears. A few seconds/minutes later and you have that small amount of capacity back to make you think the battery is ok until you apply another hefty load.

I've had a similar experience when the battery was about dead, these cars electrical systems act freaky when the battery is low.

Thank you very much, guys! It was the negative battery terminal that was loose. Started right up! Thanks again!

Is it possible that you're Helen Keller? lol. I was going to vote battery cable, but as usual Nuke types like a billion wpm so he beats everyone (well...besides Murgatory and petrock)
