Default Flashing SecuriLock Passive Anti-theft Light Question

For the first time since I got my car 07 Vert. 6 months ago, I noticed that the SecuriLock Passive Anti-theft System light is blinking every 2 seconds. I looked at the manual and it states:

Anti-theft system: Flashes when the SecuriLock Passive Anti-theft System has been activated.

Some web searches indicated that the flashing was normal (and that I must have been blind). Can someone confirm that I need to get my eyes checked and that it is in fact normal for the light to flash when the ignition is off?

set up a Dr's appt because it is normal. It alway blinks as long as the ignition is not on or in the run position. It just means it's working. Most newer cars have their own sort of blinking theft light.

Now, if it flashes or comes on during driving then you might be having an electrical or possible ignition related problem but otherwise normal.

Hold on there. We think it should be a colonoscopy...
