On cold mornings, my stick is stiff

Hey guys,

Sometimes in the mornings my stick is stiff. I think it has something to do with the cold? It is very hard to manipulate. Sometimes I can't even get it into gear. I think this must be dangerous. After a few minutes, my stick is no longer stiff and hard to manipulate. What can I do?

Your transmission probably just needs to warm up, mine's the same way.

Any manual trannie that I have ever owned hates the cold and cold start-ups. Totally normal.

Normal that its a little stiff until it reaches operating temps then its fine. You might also make sure you let it idle after first start up and then wait a couple of minutes until the RPMs drop on the idle to normal idle from the fast idle.
