Gears I know this question has been beat into the ground but.......
I'm debating between 3.73 3.90 and 4.10 I do a lot of highway so I'm thinking 4.10 is to steep everyone says there's not a lot of diffrence between 3.55 and 3.73s but my questions is am i gunna get off the line better with 3.73s like I said i do a lotta highway but am gunna be running my car at the strip next year so I'm just very curious about gears

I do 80 usually I'd do 70 if the performance was that much better haha but I prob won't be going forced induction wish I could but don't have the funds as of now. My buddy has a 1999 gt with 3.73s and it leaves hard but is the gearing in the trannys different? Would that have anything to do with it

Tranny gearing will effect your final output. I have 4.10's on my DD and I drive mostly highway at 75-80mph. No complaints and as long as I am NA, I'll never use a different gear. When stock with 4.10's and doing the speed limit, I was hitting 26-27mpg highway. Now I have a full exhaust and get 25mpg highway.

When u run at the strip tour not gonna hook unless you have DRs. Especially if u have 410s which is a preferred gear going down the strip. I've had my 410s from the get go and I think highway is fine. When I only had the gears and CAI and the tune I would get 23 mpg. That was a trip from indianapolis to Atlanta. Of course I was trying to to get good gas mileage and I did. So it's doable. If you have 355 it's not worth going to 373. Your looking at about 800 to 1000 dollars for parts and labor. And you better find a good quality shop to do the work. Gear install on these cars can be finicky
