Anyone Disappointed with GT500 Exhaust?
Like everyone else looking for an Axle back I have researched and listened to hundreds of reviews/clips. I am thinking about going with the GT500's, but I do not want to be let down if they are too quiet.
I live in a townhouse neighborhood so I do not want something completely obnoxious (I had SLP Loudmouths on my 07GT and it was a little much). From what I have read it sounds like the GT500 mufflers fit the bill.
Thanks for any feedback as I know these threads pop up often.

Try this one...
I don't have this exhaust on personally, I went with something cheaper (flowmaster outlaw axle back) for the time being, just because I wanted something louder on the car. I think the Borla S-Type is the best sounding exhaust for this car. It just fits the car very well it sounds. Very angry sounding, but deep, and sounds phenomenal at WOT:

I have the Roush axle backs on my car and they sound really good. No drone they are not all that loud when cruising but when you get on it they really open up and sound mean. I use to have the Pypes Pypebombs on my old 10 GT and that was REALLY loud all the time.

I bought the GT500s for my '11 GT and will be replacing them in the Spring with either the Roush or Magnaflow mufflers. I'm not happy with either the volume or the tone of these mufflers. I don't want something really loud either, but let me put it this way...
A co-worker has a Scion FR-S with the factory optional TRD exhaust, and his exhaust is louder than my GT500s. Nuff said.

I put the GT500's on my '12 gt and they sound great. They have no drone when cruising but sound mean when you get on it. I would buy them again. I found that a lot of the louder mufflers sound like an old POS chevy truck when you get on it. These, on the other hand, sound like a muscle car.
