Add fuel near redline I'd guess. The popping is most likely raw fuel igniting in the cats or exhaust if there are no cats.

I'll pass on the Honda and my car used to have it somehow do I get it back I just don't understand what causes it fuel or spark ? And what can I do to get it back

How do I remove the soft rev limiter I hate just the flat rev I love causing a racket haha it just sounds so good

Was it your exhaust that would produce the popping? I assume you have a M/T? When you used to hit the rev limiter to get this popping would you do it only in neutral or while driving?

You keep bouncing off the limiter, soon or later you're going to mess up your engine. The 3v's have known cam phaser problems, and you are just inviting disaster. But it is your car. Do as you wish, but just don't blame Ford for anything if something breaks. JMO

i dont see how you can change the rev limiter to make it sound like the Shelby limiter...
it not the same engine, bouncing the 3v limiter is soft, the engine just die on you for half a sec, it cut fuel n spark, the way the forged 5.4 Shelby do it is different and make it popping like you describ when you bounce the limiter without cutting all of the power, else then having a WOT BOX to launch on the pre-set limiter, i have no idea how you ever had this on barely stock gt.. i had popping sound coming from the exhaust when i let loose the gas at high rpm but that was from having no cats and no reasonator, awful sound if you ask me.
